Sin separates us from God
God will forgive any sin we repent of and ask forgiveness for, because Jesus paid the price of all sins! ( I Jn.1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.)
What is sin??
1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin.....
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of
the law.
Rom. 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for
whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
The 10 Commandments
" Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." 1
John 3:4
The first sin recorded in the Bible was one of disobedience to God. "But of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou
shalt surely die." Gen. 2:17 ? - Their sin is what brought death to the human race, because...
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Rom 6:23
The Law begins with the Ten Commandments which are recorded in Exodus chapter 20 and in
Deuteronomy chapter 5.

These Commandments are given in such a way, and mankind is in such a state that no one has
been able to keep them all:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Eph. 2:3)
1 Ki 8:46 If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) ......
Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Lev 5:17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by
the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his
iniquity.
Lev 19:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the
children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy. 3 Ye
shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.
4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.
Lev. 19:9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of
thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. 10 And thou shalt not glean thy
vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the
poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God. 11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither
lie one to another. 12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the
name of thy God: I am the LORD. 13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the
wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. 14 Thou shalt
not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the
LORD. 15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the
poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand
against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD. 17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine
heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt
not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
Lev. 19:21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering. 22 And the priest shall make
an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he
hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
Lev. 19:26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor
observe times. 27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the
corners of thy beard. 28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any
marks upon you: I am the LORD. 29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore;
lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. 30 Ye shall keep my
sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD. 31 Regard not them that have familiar
spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. 32 Thou
shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am
the LORD. 33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. 34 But the
stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love
him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 35 Ye shall
do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. 36 Just balances, just
weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you
out of the land of Egypt. 37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments,
and do them: I am the LORD.
Deut. 5:32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye
shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. 33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the
LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and
that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
Specific Sin
1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath
eternal life abiding in him.
1 Cor. 6:8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 9 Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of
God.
Rom. 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal,
Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment,
it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matt. 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and
whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever
is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall
say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool,
shall be in danger of hell fire.
Matt. 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed
adultery with her already in his heart.
Prov. 24:9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.
Deut. 24:14 Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy
brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates: 15 At his day thou shalt give
him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it:
lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
Deut. 23:21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it:
for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee. 22 But if thou
shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
Gal. 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I
tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not
inherit the kingdom of God.
Rev. 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I
will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh
shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and
unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.
Rev. 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and
idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive
the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when
he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he
any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth
death. (Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.) 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
The Unforgivable Sin
Matt. 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto
men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And
whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever
speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the
world to come.
Judgement
James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself, ye do well: 9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the
law as transgressors. 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he
is guilty of all.
Rom. 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by
the law is the knowledge of sin.
Hosea 12:2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to
his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
Matt. 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of
this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his
kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a
furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Forgiveness
Heb. 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of
blood is no remission........ 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the
world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of
himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he
appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God...... 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel
not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again....... 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in
the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
God...... 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son
shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent
me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto
life.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.
1 Pet. 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver
and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the
precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Isa. 38:17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it
from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
Isa. 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not
remember thy sins.
Isa. 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy,
that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your
sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isa. 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Heb. 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall
devour the adversaries.
Heb. 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I
remember no more.
Micah 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities;
and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Psalm 130:1 A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear
my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If thou, LORD, shouldest
mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest
be feared. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. 6 My soul
waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch
for the morning. 7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with
him is plenteous redemption. 8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Jer. 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the
house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with
their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which
my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this
shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD,
I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and
they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every
man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them
unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember
their sin no more.
Psalm 103:1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his
holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all
thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who
crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good
things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The LORD executeth righteousness and
judgment for all that are oppressed. 7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the
children of Israel. 8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. 10 He hath not dealt with us
after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above
the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the
LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are
dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the
wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17 But the
mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his
righteousness unto children's children; 18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that
remember his commandments to do them. 19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the

Prov. 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are
abomination to the LORD.
Prov. 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A
proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth
wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh
lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Deut. 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt
not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you
any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or
an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar
spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto
the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from
before thee.
