Low Self-Esteem?

Find your true worth

Low self-esteem, those feelings that you are worthless, of no value to anyone; that you cannot do anything right, will never amount to anything; and that you are not loved. Such feelings are defeating to your progress and accomplishment. They are destructive to your social activity and even to your personal health.

You are not worthless! You do have definite value!

Think for just a minute of how you value something that you want to purchase. You consider the amount that you have available to spend on the item. Next, you consider the price of the item. If you value the item more than the price you would have to pay, you would buy it. However, if you don't feel the item is worth the price, then you would not buy it. After all, you know how much something is worth to you. You probably worked very hard for that money, and you may possibly have to do without something else you want or need if you buy that item.

This is the exact process that God went through before He created the world, and YOU. He saw into the future and knew that the world would fall away from Him in sin. He knew that He would have to send His only born Son, Jesus, to pay the price for your sin. Knowing that Jesus would have to suffer an unbelievable torture and death to pay that price, He looked at you knowing everything that you would ever do, or say, or think, and still said, "Yes, I will pay that price." That is why the Bible says:

"Forasmuch as you know that you were not bought back with perishable things, as silver and gold........ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who truly was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was made clearly known in these last times for you," 1 Pet 1:18-20

You are loved!

"For God so loved the world (you), that he gave his only born Son (Jesus), that whosoever believes in him should not perish (go to hell), but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God." John 3:16-18

When you begin to see yourself the way that God sees you, you will notice that you have more worth to yourself and to others, also.
