Many a person who has repented of past sins and has received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
returned to the world (sin) without concern after being taught that it is not possible to fall from
Grace. If these people are BIBLICALLY correct they have no problem, but what if they aren't?
The following list of Scriptures is presented for your PRAYERFUL consideration. First, however,
it must be stated that in the Greek 'to believe' means: adhere to, trust, rely on, remain steadfast to.
Matt.7:21-27 'and doeth them'! (No one can call Jesus Lord but by the Holy Spirit. I Cor.12:3)

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his

Rom 11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22

goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
I Cor 6:8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. 9 Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor

Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example
of unbelief.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there
remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery
indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without
mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be

James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with
respect of persons. 2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly
apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3 And ye have respect to him that
weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor,
Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are
become judges of evil thoughts? 5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor
of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the
judgment seats? 7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? 8 If ye
fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as
transgressors. 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is
guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou
commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak ye,
and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For he shall have judgment
without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. 14 What doth
it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save
him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto
them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things
which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead,
being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith
without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is
one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain
man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when
he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and
by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham
believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of
God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25
Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers,
and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith
without works is dead also.
James 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him
know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death,
and shall hide a multitude of sins.
II Pet 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure:
for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you
abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
II Pet 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of

rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my

Rev 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the

have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and
heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief,

cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue
thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have
need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and
naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white
raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and
anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:

Mat 18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
There are two main opposing arguments in the church today with regard to eternal salvation, but they both agree in the end:
