Predicted in OT:

Job 14:10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

14:11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:

14:12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

14:13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!

14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

14:15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.

Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Isa. 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

I Sam. 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Ez.37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

Ez.37:2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Dan.12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

Dan.12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

Dan.12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

Mt. 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain

ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead:

but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

9:19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

. . .

9:23 And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels

and the people making a noise,

9:24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but

sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

9:25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by

the hand, and the maid arose.

9:26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

MK. 5:35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s

house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou

the Master any further?

5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the

ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

5:37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and

John the brother of James.

5:38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and

seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

5:39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this

ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

5:40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out,

he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that

were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

5:41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha

cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

5:42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the

age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great

astonishment.

5:43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and

commanded that something should be given her to eat.

Lk. 7:11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called

Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.

7:12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a

dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a

widow: and much people of the city was with her.

7:13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said

unto her, Weep not.

7:14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood

still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.

7:15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered

him to his mother.

7:16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a

great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his

people.

7:17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and

throughout all the region round about.

7:18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.

7:19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus,

saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

7:20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath

sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we

for another?

7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and

plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave

sight.

7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John

what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the

lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are

raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

7:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Jn.5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

Jn.5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Jn.5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Jn.5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Jn.5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Jn.5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Acts 9:36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

Acts 9:37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

Acts 9:38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

Acts 9:39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

Acts 9:40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

Acts 9:41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

Rom 1

1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

1Cor 15

I Cor.15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

I Cor.15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

I Cor.15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

I Cor.15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I Cor.15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

I Cor.15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

I Cor.15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

I Cor.15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

I Cor.15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

I Cor.15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

I Cor.15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

I Cor.15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

I Cor.15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

I Cor.15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

I Cor.15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

I Cor.15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

I Cor.15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

I Cor.15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

I Cor.15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

I Cor.15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

I Cor.15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

I Cor.15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

I Cor.15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

I Cor.15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

I Cor.15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

I Cor.15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

I Cor.15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

I Cor.15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

I Cor.15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

I Cor.15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

I Cor.15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

I Cor.15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

I Cor.15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

I Cor.15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

I Cor.15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

I Cor.15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

I Cor.15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

I Cor.15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

I Cor.15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

I Cor.15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

I Cor.15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

I Cor.15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

I Cor.15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

I Cor.15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

I Cor.15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

I Cor.15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

I Cor.15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

I Cor.15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

I Cor.15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

I Cor.15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

I Cor.15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

I Cor.15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

I Cor.15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

I Cor.15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

I Cor.15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

I Cor.15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

I Cor.15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Cor.15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

II Cor 4

4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I

believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and

therefore speak;

4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us

also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

II Cor 5

5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were

dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with

hands, eternal in the heavens.

5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our

house which is from heaven:

5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for

that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might

be swallowed up of life.

5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who

also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at

home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the

body, and to be present with the Lord.

5:9 Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be

accepted of him.

5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that

every one may receive the things done in his body, according to

that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we

are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in

your consciences.

5:12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you

occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to

answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

5:13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be

sober, it is for your cause.

5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that

if one died for all, then were all dead:

5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth

live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose

again.

5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though

we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we

him no more.

5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things

are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by

Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,

not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto

us the word of reconciliation.

5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did

beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled

to God.

5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we

might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Philip.3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Philip.3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

I Thess.4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

I Thess.4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

I Thess.4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

I Thess.4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

I Thess.4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I Thess.4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Rev. 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was  given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and

reigned with Christ a thousand years.  20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.  20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Rev. 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out

of his prison,

20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four

quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to

battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the

camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down

from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and

brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be

tormented day and night for ever and ever.

20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose

face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no

place for them.

20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the

books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the

book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which

were written in the books, according to their works.

20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell

delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged

every man according to their works.

20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second

death.

20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast

into the lake of fire.

Lk.20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

Lk.20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Lk.20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Lk.20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

Lk.20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
