Jehovah – translated as “LORD” in OT    -     5451 times in the OT

 

Ex. 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM {H1961} THAT I AM {H1961}: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

 

Ex. 6:2 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD {H3068}:

6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH {H3068} was I not known to them.

“I AM THAT I AM” and “JEHOVAH” have almost the exact same meaning!

 

In the NT. the LORD (capitalized) is usually referring to Jesus!
