Deut. 28:47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; (BLESSINGS & CURSINGS Deut chapters 27 and 28)
Jer. 8:13 I will surely consume them (His people who “have rejected the word of the LORD”), saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them. (because of their sin)
Hos. 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no God but me: for there is no savior beside me. 13:5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought. 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me. (God had blessed His people greatly, an yet they forgot all about Him and turned their backs to Him!) 13:7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them: 13:8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them. 13:9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.

Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. 1:10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. 1:11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands.
